Registration Procedure

Please
read the following
General Regulations and Important Information
before
proceeding with STEP 2!
A.
Membership
A.1
NATO Marlins Swim Club (NMS) Membership
To be entitled to attend an ARC LTS course or a CST season, every individual
MUST apply for NATO Marlins Swim Club (NMS)
Membership.
The application for NMS Membership equals the registration for a specific
ACR LTS course/CST season and automatically expires with
the termination of the specific course/season!
A.2 NATO HQ Staff Center Membership
To
be allowed to enter the NATO HQ Staff Center swimming pool, an individual
MUST
apply for NATO HQ Staff Center Membership.
B. ARC Learn-To-Swim (LTS)
Program

B.1 Course Duration
An
ARC LTS course is usually provided within three months, refered to as
a Swim Season (WINTER, SPRING or AUTUMN).
B.2
Course Composition
An ARC LTS course is composed of 10 swim lessons, where usually one lesson
per week is provided.
B.3
Duration of swim lessons
In general, ARC LTS lessons have a duration of 55 minutes.
Lessons starting 17:00 on Wednesdays have only a duration of 45 minutes,
as swimmers are not allowed to enter the water before 17:15 (nevertheless,
pool-deck may already be entered at 17:00 for warm-up).
LTS
PCAA/AB lessons have a duration of 30 minutes due to the limited physical
strength of the young swimmers.
B.4
Re-scheduling of swim lessons
ARC
LTS lessons may be re-scheduled in case lessons had to be cancelled due
to holidays or unpredictable events.
B.5 Number of participants
For
all ARC
LTS courses a minimum number of three (3) participants/swimmers is required.
The maximum number of participants per course is six (6) swimmers for
ARC LTS courses
Levels
PCAA/AB and C1 through C3, and eight (8) swimmers for Levels C4 through
C6 and A1 through A6.
B.6
Course Cancellation
The
NMS reserves the right to cancel an ARC LTS course at the beginning of
a swim season in case that less than three (3) individuals registered
to attend the course.
C.
Competition Swim Training (CST)

C.1 Duration of a Season
The Competition Swim Training (CST) is provided in two seasons; the CST
Preparative Swim Season, conducted from March to August, and the CST Competitive
Swim Season, conducted from September to February of the following year.
C.2 Composition
During each CST season, training sessions are held 3 times a week for
CST Levels AA through C and 2 times a week for CST Level D.
C.3
Duration of sessions
In general, each training session has a duration of 55 minutes.
C.4
Scheduling of extra sessions
After
coordination with swimmers and parents, the NMS might schedule extra sessions
in addition to the regular training sessions, where participation will
be on a voluntary basis.
D.
Registration
To attend an ARC LTS course or a CST season, it
is mandatory to register (apply for NMS Membership) prior
start of the course/season!
As a NMS Membership automatically expires with
the termination of the ARC LTS course or a CST season registered for,
it is mandatory to re-register in case an individual wants
to attend a follow-on ARC LTS course/CST season!
Every registration will be handled on a First Come - First Serve
basis!
Late registrations at
the beginning of a course/season or during a running course/season will
only be accepted until the maximum number of swimmers per course has been
reached (see Para B.5).
NMS
members are only entitled to attend the ARC LTS course/CST season at dates
for which they have registered for, unless otherwise authorized by the
NMS Executive Committee.
